WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THE SERENGETI CAT?

Karen Sausman of Kingsmark Cattery in California created the Serengeti. This is a relatively recent project, dating back to 1994.

In order to get a cat that looked like a miniature serval, instead of following a bridging program involving a wild cat, she opted for crosses between Bengal and Oriental.
